This is an exploit, NOT a glitch. This trick works since the AI is absurdly dumb. In route creator, when you drive to "draw" the route, THAT will be the path that the AI drives through - they will NOT know the fastest way between 2 checkpoints, the same way a human player does. For example, lets say you're making a circle route. Starting point is at 12 o'clock. You drive through 1, 2, and at 3 o'clock you place the first checkpoint. You then drive through 4,5,6,7,8, and then at 9 you place a 2nd checkpoint. You then drive through 10, 11, and finish it. On the map too, the circuit would show up as a circle. Now as a real human - you'd know that the fastest way from the first checkpoint (3 o'clock) to the 2nd checkpoint (9 o'clock) would be cutting right through the middle. But since the AI would drive ONLY according to the route you drove (going through 4-8), this gives you the opportunity to take the short cut by yourself, with the AI going the long way around! The AI does NOT know the quicker way! One thing tho - you can't cut more than 50% of the driven (AI) route. So "clock circuit" example again: lets say you decide to make it REALLY short by placing the first and 2nd checkpoints at 2 o'clock and 10 o'clock instead, and you drive directly from 2 to 10, to take a gigantic chunk off- it wouldn't work. Because that's more than a 50% cut. The lap would be considered incomplete (as you cross the line, you'd still be on same lap). The video shows me on lap 7 taking the "drawn" circuit properly (same as AI) and on lap 8, I took the shortcut. The time difference is around 17 seconds/ 25% faster. This is a great way to earn CR against Unbeatable AI real quick! Try it, its fun!
